Biographies

 

Paul Eberz is a Certified Financial Planner with over thirty years experience, and is a principle in Financial Education Resources (FER). He is a graduate of Canisius College with a BS in Economics.

Paul and his wife Carol are lifelong residents of Amherst, N.Y. where they raised their four children.  His daughter Missy Eberz joined the FER team in 2008. 

Paul began his career in financial services in 1974.  He joined his current partners in 1984, and became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in 1985.

Like his partners, Paul views financial planning as an avocation as much as a vocation, and currently plans to continue for many years.  

 

Glenn Shaikun joined Financial Education Resources in 1994.  He came to the group with credentials as a Vice President for The Copeland Companies, a national retirement plan firm.  Glenn helped Copeland implement the New York State Deferred Compensation Plan as well as the plans for Erie County and the City of Buffalo.  As part of the executive team, he helped create several new mutual funds as well as a computer modeled asset allocation program. 

Glenn’s undergraduate degree came from SUNY Oswego.  His graduate work was also done in the SUNY system with a fellowship in Philosophy.

Glenn has devoted much of his time since joining FER to working closely with SUNY employees and their retirement plans,  including administrators, professors and professional staff at SUNY’s Albany, Buffalo, Stony Brook, Farmingdale and Fredonia.  

Glenn and Pam have raised their two daughters in Orchard Park where they continue to reside.  Like his partners, Glenn views financial planning and working with his clients as an important element of who he is and he hopes to keep doing so for many years to come.

 

Hadley Weinberg began his career right here at our current location in 1982.  His education includes a Master in Policy Analysis and a Bachelors degree, both from the University of Rochester.  He has been a Certified Financial Planner since 1987.

Hadley is an active member of both the financial planning community as well as the community’s he resides in. He was a past President of the local chapter of the Financial Planning Association and has lectured at numerous schools and colleges on financial planning topics.

Hadley’s wife Ellen is an ENT Surgeon and they have two children they raised in Williamsville and Bemus Point.

He serves on a number of boards and foundations including the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County, Jamestown Community College Foundation and the Rotary Club of Brookline Ma. He has been named a Paul Harris Fellow twice with Rotary International and served as an Assistant Treasurer for WCA Hospital for many years as well as for the YMCA of Jamestown, N.Y.  In 1994 he was a graduate of the Chautauqua Leadership Network.

Hadley’s diverse career now includes conducting business in Buffalo, Jamestown and Boston Ma.
